Right on the North Coast500 route (A896) in Shieldaig. Close to Torridon and Applecross in the North West Highlands of Scotland. Within an area known as Wester Ross and a UNESCO Biosphere. Shieldaig is a vibrant, picturesque fishing village, with stunning, panoramic Mountain and Sea views. For many this is the 'real' Highlands, accessible only on single track roads. Just as you think the views cannot get any better - round the next bend they do!

What The Croft House BnB offers

The Croft House is a light, warm, modern home, with a stunning elevated view over the crofts, of Shieldaig Island and out to sea. Contemporary decor, inspired by nature, with touches of original artwork. Guests are provided with a really comfortable, pocket sprung, superking double bed. Sparkling clean en-suite shower room, white fluffy towels and hand made soap. Free WiFi, Hospitality tray and Freeview TV in room. All run with sustainability and the environment in mind.

This is a BnB that provides last minute 1 night stays and doesn't take bookings months or weeks in advance. Whilst The Croft House BnB was newly opened in 2018 to help provide accommodation for visitors passing through on the NC500; Ann has 12+years previous experience of running a 4 star award winning B&B in Shieldaig. Many thoughtful extras and a wealth of knowledge / information of what guests want to see and do in and around the Shieldaig, Torridon and Applecross area. Sorry no children or pets.

The British Breakfast is 'help-yourself' and authentically represents what most British people actually eat. A healthy, filling start to the day; using only good quality ingredients, largely organic. The bread, yoghurt and jams are all home-made. Soft fruits are home-grown.

Pub and cafe in walking distance, plus other great food options in the area. Off road parking. Keys provided, your room has a lock.

Red deer, otters, seals, red squirrels, pine marten, sea-eagles and dolphins are all regularly seen in Shieldaig along with a myriad of other unique flora & fauna. What you see changes with the seasons - there is plenty to see and do Spring through to late Autumn. Great walks in and around the area with a number of outdoor activities/providers - cycling, kayaking, sailing, photography - to mention just a few.
